Echo Connected Alarm Receiving Centres (ARCs) receive digital alarm signals in the event of an alarm activations. Once verified, they pass on the signal directly to Police Force Despatchers via the ECHO platform, effectively jumping the police call handler queue.
Police estimates indicate a saving of up to 4 minutes in response time, which could prove critical in an emergency situation.
